Beyond Standard™️ Labs
Because “everything looks normal” doesn’t always tell the whole story.
Lab testing designed for fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and changing hormones—paired with expert interpretation to help you understand your results, what may deserve a closer look, and what to do next.
CHOOSE YOUR LAB PANEL
WHEN YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE YOURSELF
There are so many stages of a person's life when it can be hard to know what's normal.
Trying to conceive
Pregnancy
Recovering from birth
Breastfeeding
Postpartum
Changing hormones
Perimenopause
Fatigue, brain fog, mood changes, hair loss, disrupted sleep, changes in your cycle, low energy, or simply feeling off can become easy to dismiss as part of the season you're in.
And sometimes they are.
But sometimes there may be something measurable that deserves a closer look.
Beyond Standard™ Labs were created for that space in between—when you know something feels different, but you're not sure what information you need next.
WHY BEYOND STANDARD™?
Go Beyond “Everything Looks Normal.”
Routine medical care is essential—but the tests ordered during routine care vary based on your symptoms, history, provider, and stage of life. Not every potentially relevant nutrient, thyroid, iron, hormonal, inflammatory, or metabolic marker is routinely evaluated.
That doesn't mean something was done wrong. It means sometimes there is more information available.
Beyond Standard™ Labs provide a more detailed look at your health during fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause—giving you additional information to better understand your body and make informed next steps.
Instead of simply receiving numbers on a lab report, you'll receive a personalized written interpretation explaining your results in clear language, along with nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations tailored to your findings.
What Routine Labs May Not Show
“Normal” doesn't necessarily mean every possible contributor has been evaluated.
There is no single routine lab panel that examines every possible reason someone may feel tired, depleted, foggy, hormonally different, or simply unlike themselves.
Depending on your stage of life and individual care, additional information about areas such as iron and nutrient status, thyroid health, reproductive hormones, blood sugar, metabolism, and inflammation may not have been part of previous testing.
Beyond Standard™ Labs give you the opportunity to look more closely—so instead of guessing, you have more information to guide your next steps.
MORE INFORMATION. MORE CONTEXT. MORE AGENCY IN YOUR OWN HEALTH.
You receive your laboratory results, a detailed written interpretation, and clear recommendations—so your health information isn't simply a collection of numbers sitting in a portal.
It's information you can understand and use.
Every Beyond Standard™ Lab Includes
✓ Quest Diagnostics laboratory testing
✓ Easy scheduling at a Quest Diagnostics location near you
✓ A detailed, easy-to-understand written interpretation
✓ Personalized supplement recommendations based on your results
✓ Nutrition and lifestyle guidance tailored to your findings
✓ Clear guidance when your results warrant additional medical follow-up
Beyond Standard™ Labs are designed to complement—not replace—your primary, OB/GYN, fertility, or other medical care. When results suggest additional medical evaluation is appropriate, you'll be encouraged to follow up with the appropriate healthcare provider.

Fertility
-
Build the healthiest foundation for conception.
Fertility is influenced by more than reproductive hormones alone. Thyroid health, nutrient status, iron stores, blood sugar regulation, metabolic health, and other biomarkers can all provide useful information when preparing for pregnancy.
This comprehensive panel offers a broader look at your reproductive and overall health, helping you make informed decisions before conception or alongside fertility treatment.
Designed for women who are:
• Trying to conceive naturally
• Preparing for IUI or IVF
• Experiencing irregular or painful cycles
• Wanting a more complete picture of preconception health

LABS + GUIDED SUPPORT: Includes Quest lab testing, personalized written interpretation, and tailored supplement, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations.
Pregnancy
-
Support your changing body throughout pregnancy.
Pregnancy dramatically increases your body's nutritional and metabolic demands. Additional testing can provide useful information about nutrient status, thyroid health, iron stores, and other markers that may be relevant to maternal wellness throughout pregnancy.
This panel provides a deeper look at key biomarkers to help inform individualized nutrition, supplementation, and appropriate follow-up when needed.
Designed for women who are:
In any trimester
Wanting a more detailed look at nutritional status
Experiencing fatigue or nausea
Looking for additional personalized guidance alongside routine prenatal care
Beyond Standard™ Pregnancy Labs — $297
LABS + GUIDED SUPPORT: Includes Quest lab testing, personalized written interpretation, and tailored supplement, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations.
Postpartum
-
Recover, replenish, and restore.
Pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, interrupted sleep, healing, and caring for a baby place tremendous demands on the body.
Fatigue, brain fog, hair loss, mood changes, low energy, dizziness, weight changes, and simply not feeling like yourself are often attributed to being postpartum.
Sometimes they are part of normal postpartum recovery.
Sometimes there may be another contributor worth identifying.
This panel takes a closer look at thyroid health, iron status, blood counts, nutrient levels, inflammation, and metabolic health to provide a clearer picture of your postpartum recovery.
Designed for women who are:
Newly postpartum or years beyond delivery
Breastfeeding or recently weaned
Experiencing fatigue or low energy
Noticing hair loss or brain fog
Experiencing changes in mood, weight, or energy
Interested in understanding and replenishing their body after pregnancy
Beyond Standard™ Postpartum Labs — $297
LABS + GUIDED SUPPORT: Includes Quest lab testing, personalized written interpretation, and tailored supplement, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations.
Why Postpartum Testing Can Matter
Pregnancy ends at delivery, but maternal recovery doesn't.
-
Postpartum thyroiditis affects approximately 5–10% of women in the United States. It can cause periods of increased or decreased thyroid function, with symptoms such as fatigue, mood changes, weight changes, anxiety, and low energy that may overlap with typical postpartum experiences.
The American Thyroid Association released updated guidelines in 2026 specifically addressing thyroid health during preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum.
-
Iron deficiency and postpartum anemia can contribute to fatigue, dizziness, shortness of breath and reduced well-being.
Research has also found an association between postpartum anemia or iron deficiency and depressive symptoms. When iron deficiency anemia is identified, treatment has been shown to improve postpartum fatigue.
Identifying iron deficiency or anemia matters because it gives you and your healthcare team information that can guide appropriate treatment and follow-up.
-
Pregnancy and lactation increase nutritional demands, making nutrient status particularly relevant during postpartum recovery.
Vitamin D status, for example, has been associated with perinatal and postpartum mood in multiple studies. However, the research does not establish that vitamin D supplementation alone treats postpartum depression, so the goal is to identify actual deficiencies and address them appropriately—not assume every postpartum symptom is caused by a nutrient imbalance. It's about identifying whether a measurable deficiency is actually present before deciding what support may be appropriate.
GOOD TO KNOW: Postpartum symptoms occur during a period of significant physical, nutritional, immune, and endocrine change. And some conditions that can arise after pregnancy have symptoms that closely resemble the exhaustion and emotional changes commonly attributed to new motherhood.
Postpartum care is ongoing care.
Postpartum recovery extends beyond a single six-week visit. Comprehensive postpartum care includes attention to areas such as mood, sleep and fatigue, physical recovery, chronic conditions, and overall health.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends viewing postpartum care as an ongoing process rather than a single postpartum visit, with attention to areas including mood, sleep and fatigue, physical recovery, chronic conditions, and overall health.
The goal isn't to search for something “wrong.” It's to have more information about what your body may need during an extraordinarily demanding stage of life.
Identify what can reasonably be supported through nutrition, supplementation, or lifestyle—and know when your results deserve a conversation with your doctor.
Perimenopause
-
Understand your changing body and feel more like yourself.
Perimenopause can bring significant shifts in menstrual cycles, sleep, mood, energy, metabolism, and body composition—sometimes beginning years before periods stop completely.
This panel takes a broader look at hormone, thyroid, blood sugar, lipid, and metabolic markers to provide useful context during this transition and help guide individualized nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations.
Designed for women who are:
• Experiencing changes in their menstrual cycle
• Struggling with fatigue, brain fog, or disrupted sleep
• Noticing changes in mood, weight, or body composition
• Experiencing hot flashes or other new changes
• Looking to support long-term metabolic, cardiovascular, and hormonal healthBeyond Standard™ Perimenopause Labs — $297
LABS + GUIDED SUPPORT: Includes Quest lab testing, personalized written interpretation, and tailored supplement, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations.
Why I Created Beyond Standard™ Labs
Over the years, I've heard some version of the same question again and again from women in my practice:
“Is this normal—or is something off?”
I've asked that question myself.
After having a baby, I felt depleted and exhausted. Eventually, I discovered that low iron was contributing to how I felt—something I hadn't realized at first.
That experience stayed with me.
Women move through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, and changing hormones while carrying enormous physical and emotional demands. When you don't feel like yourself, you shouldn't have to choose between ignoring it and assuming something is terribly wrong.
I created Beyond Standard™ Labs to offer another option: look a little deeper, understand your own health information, address what reasonably can be addressed, and know when it's time to bring that information to another member of your healthcare team.
— Dr. Jenny Stofer
Treatment and Understanding Aren't Always the Same Thing
Treatments that manage symptoms can be valuable and appropriate.
But sometimes you also want to understand more about why you feel the way you do.
Beyond Standard™ Labs offer another layer of information for women who want to better understand their own physiology and consider their options with more context.
You may discover an area that can reasonably be supported with nutrition, lifestyle, or supplementation.
Or your results may give you better information to bring to your OB/GYN, primary care provider, endocrinologist, fertility specialist, or another member of your healthcare team.
Either outcome moves you from wondering to knowing more.
Ready to Understand Your Results More Clearly?
Your first step is a short, secure intake. From there, you'll be guided to the Beyond Standard™ Lab options appropriate for your health stage.
Want to Talk Through Your Results?
Your personalized written interpretation is included with your lab panel.
If you'd like additional support, you may also book an optional virtual consultation with Dr. Jenny to discuss your results, questions, supplements, nutrition, lifestyle, and potential next steps together.
Virtual consultations are optional and purchased separately from laboratory testing.
